Camel wides are a very unique cigarette. They are the only cigarette I have came across that is wider than most cigarettes. They are an average king sized cigarette with a thicker ring gauge making for a richer, stronger smoke. The body on these cigarettes is huge! They put off a lot of smoke, just like I like it. They flavor is a bit more richer than standard Camels but still had that sweet flavor to them. Very strong, very full and a very robust cigarette. Not for a beginner to cigarettes. These are the kind of smokes where you not only feel the hit in the back of your throat but you feel it all the way to the bottom of your lungs. Beautiful in my opinion but an acquired taste for sure.
The flavor of these cigarettes is pretty good. Very rich and very full. Slightly sweet with a strong cigarette tobacco flavor. 8 out of 10. The aroma of these cigarettes is pretty smokey but not in an ashtray way. More of a woodsy bonfire smell that I love. 10 0ut of 10! The burn quality is also fantastic. I don’t know if its the thicker gauge but they burn very slow and very smooth. Perfect 10! The nicotine hit is huge on these. You get so much more smoke per draw than standard cigarettes and each cigarette has more tobacco in it than most other cigarettes so the nicotine content is pretty high. For me its an 8 out of 10. The pack design gets a solid 10 on these. Camel always dose a great job but this pack I love. A very large camel on these with WIDES written in bold across the top. Very unique. Before I get to my overall review I should tell you that these are one of my favorite cigarettes. A go to smoke when I want that Camel sweetness. These are by far my favorite smoke made by Camel. Something about the wide cigarette makes it such a unique, flavorful, strong cigarette. Fantastic! 9 out of 10 all day everyday!
The Camel Turkish Royal cigarettes are one of my all time favorites. Very sweet flavor that is very unique. Everything about these cigarettes is unique. From the smoke to the design of the filter, these are special. Not a good regular smoke for me though. The sweet flavor is fantastic for mixing things up but I’ve never been able to get through a whole pack. The flavor becomes overpowering about halfway through the pack. However when Camel says they use the finest aromatic leaf in these cigarettes the are not kidding. The aroma these cigarettes give off is incredible. They give a chocolate vanilla scent that is great. The one big downside of these cigarette is the burn quality. Even if I pack them hard the cherry still falls off.
The flavor gets a 7 out of 10. I cannot even describe how much I love the flavor of these cigarettes. It would be a very solid 1o but halfway through the pack it becomes so overpowering I have to put the pack aside for a week before finishing it. So that marks it down to a 7. Aroma however is without a doubt a 10. So sweet and creamy, doesn’t even smell like a cigarette. The burn quality of Turkish Royals only gets a 4. They burn even and slow but, no matter how hard i pack them I still lose the cherry. Also, the paper burns faster than the tobacco, so the tobacco always ends up sticking out the tip of the cigarette and falling out. I love the packaging. Camel always dose a great job with their packages, 10 out of 10. The nicotine hit of these cigarettes is a little weak but not too bad. The filters are very lightly perforated and the tobacco is a pretty light tobacco. I’ll give the nicotine content a 6. Overall, Camel Turkish Royals are a great occasional cigarette. Not an everyday smoke but as a occasional treat the get a 9 out of 10. As a daily smoke I’ll give them a 6.

Pall Mall may be a discount brand here in Minnesota but once again discount dose not mean low quality. These are great cigarettes. Fantastic if you consider the price. They are full yet very smooth, burn great and have a good strong, nutty sweet taste. They are pretty much a unfiltered Pall Mall with a filter. The filter is slightly perforated and very soft. The one big downfall of these cigarettes is the soft filter. Not a big issue but it seems like the filter may be the one low quality part of these smokes.
Flavor on these gets a 7 out of 10. Fairly average but still a very nice nutty sweetness I’ve noticed from Pall Mall. They put off a slightly sweet smoke which earns the aroma a 9. The burn quality of these cigarettes is also very nice. Slow even burning cigarettes. 9 out of 10. I also love the pack design. Simple and elegant like all Pall Mall packs. A deep red color with a lighter red stripe in the middle. 10 out of 10! The nicotine hit in these cigarettes is nice and satisfying. Not too much, not to little. A solid 9 out of 10. Finally, my overall rating and the Pall Mall Red pack is an 8. Very high quality cigarette at a very reasonable price.

The Parliament Full cigarette is a great smoke. Its gotten a bad reputation as of late for being popular among the “hipster” crowd. However I tend not to really buy into classifications like that and decided to go ahead and purchase a pack regardless of the stereotypes, and I’m glad that I did. Parliament is made by the Phillip Morris Tobacco Group and therefore can be expected to be a high quality cigarette. I was not let down. They are basically a Marlboro Red at a premium cigarette price (here in Minnesota). You may ask “why don’t just buy Marb Reds?” Well, to that I would say Parliament cigarettes have something special that to me warrants the higher price. The unique feature of Parliament cigarettes is their recessed filter. The filter on Parliaments is set back about a quarter inch into the cylinder. Its a simple thing but I love the way it keeps the dirty filter off of my lips. Its not normally a problem but when I am busy with my hands or its too cold to have my hand out then I clench the cigarette in my lips. In those cases the recessed filter is great. With standard filters I tend to get a dirty ashtray taste in my mouth when I clench the cigarette. However, with Parliaments I don’t get any unwanted tastes because the recessed filter keeps the filtered out tar and chemicals away from my mouth. This feature was originally intended for WWII snipers who clenched their cigarettes and I can definitely see how these new filters would have been appreciated in that situation. I myself enjoy smoking Parliaments while out hunting. So for those who like to clench their cigarettes the recessed filter is well worth the extra 50 cents.
As for the ratings I’ll give the flavor of these cigarettes a 8 out of 10. They have a great, slightly sweet cigarette taste to them but can get a little bland toward the end of the pack. The aroma of this cigarette is also very pleasing, a solid 9 out of 10. Very sweet and woodsy aroma to the smoke. The burn quality of Parliament Full is very good. I think the paper may be a bit thinner than the paper used on Marlboro Reds because the cigarette itself is a bit lighter and the cigarette burns quite a bit faster. The cigarette burns very even which makes up for the faster burn so overall I’ll give the burn quality of this cigarette a 7 out of 10. The pack design gets a solid 9 out of 10. Very clean, very simple and very classy. Nicotine content of this cigarette is also pretty good. First thing in the morning it gives you a nice buzz. Throughout the rest of the day it give you a pretty average buzz, not overpowering but you definitely feel it. 10 out of 10, very satisfying. Overall, this is a definite buy again pack for me. I’ll give Parliament Fulls a 8 out of 10! They are a pretty decent cigarette flavor, aroma, burn, nicotine and design wise but the recessed filter for me pushes these a bit further for me. In my opinion these are great cigarettes.
Parliament Full Flavor
Personally I don’t buy into the Generic/Standard/Premium cigarette categories. I view it as a marketing technique. Take Phillip Morris cigarettes for an example. Marlboro is their flagship cigarette and is therefor sold as their standard $5.50 a pack (here in Minnesota) cigarette across the country. While other Phillip Morris cigarettes such as L&M and Parliament are sold as premium and generic cigarettes differently in different states. L&M here in Minnesota is sold as a generic $4.80 a pack cigarette. While next door in Wisconsin L&M is a premium $6.00 + cigarette. Then Parliament cigarettes are sold as a premium brand in Minnesota but they are a generic brand in Wisconsin. Having smoked Parliament Fulls, L&M Reds and Marlboro Reds in my opinion they are all the same tobacco blend in different packaging. I can’t be sure why different brands are sold as premium in one state but then generic in the next but, my guess is its a marketing technique to boost sales in certain areas to keep sales even across the country. If a premium cigarette is selling low in one state then change its pricing to a generic price to boost sales. Or if a generic brand has gained a high level of regular smokers then make it a Premium priced cigarette to boost profits. Anyway, thats just my personal opinion on the topic. Whatever you choose to smoke enjoy it!
Erik Nording Labrador is a hazelnut aromatic blend of ribbon cut Burley and Virginia tobaccos, as well as rough cut Black Cavendish tobaccos. This is a very light, very sweet and nutty blend. The tin note of this blend is beyond fantastic! It smells like toasted hazelnuts and caramel. This is the only cased tobacco out of the Nording Hunters Series. This is very flavorful for an aromatic. Not only dose it have the fantastic aroma of hazelnuts it actually has the flavor as well. A high quality blend that will not give you tongue bite no matter how hard you puff.
The tin description reads:
A classic blend of smooth fragrant Black Cavendish mellow Burley and sweet Virginia, enhanced with a light caramel-hazelnut note. Rich and satisfying.
Rather spot on in my opinion.
The flavor and aroma of this blend both get a solid 8 out of 10, they are both great and pleasant but could be a little more full. The room note has to be a 10 on this one. Sweet, nutty and very pleasant. The burn quality is also great. Nording blends always tend to light well and smoke down without much if any relighting. This gets a 10 out of 10! The nicotine content on this blend is a bit higher than most aromatic blends but not too strong. A nice 7 out of 10. Overall this is a very well rounded aromatic blend, not too weak, not too strong. However it could do with a bit stronger of a flavor. This blend dose tend to have the typical aromatic problem of not being as flavorful as I would like. However this is overall a great blend and I’ll give it a solid 8 out of 10!

The classic Pall Mall unfiltered cigarette is one of my favorite cigarettes so far. sweet and nutty with a very strong and flavorful woodsy note. The flavor has almost a cedar hint to it. Absolutely great! The first thing you notice when pulling the cigarette out of the pack is the length of it. Unlike most unfiltered cigarettes this one isn’t a king sized with the filtered pulled off making it very short. This is a full length king sized cigarette. This makes for a much longer smoke than standard unfiltered cigarettes and the tobacco seems to work as a natural filter making for a very smooth smoke with almost no harshness. These are a much classier cigarette than regular Pall Malls and seem to have a higher quality of tobacco in them.
Flavor wise i give these a 10 out of 10. Very full with sweet, nutty and woodsy tastes. These also smell pretty good from a smokers point of view, strong tobacco smell with a hint of cedar in it. 9 out of 10. The burn of these cigarettes is also a high point. First and foremost is the length of these cigarettes. Being longer than most unfiltered smokes these last as long as a normal cigarette giving you more time to enjoy the wonderful full flavor and full strength of a unfiltered cigarette. The burn gets a solid 10 out of 10! I also love the pack design, a standard Pall Mall red on a soft pack with the Pall Mall seal in the center. Very classy, 9 out of 10. The nicotine content on these is also great! Like all unfiltered cigarettes, when not treated with respect and enjoyed these will kick your ass! These are not the kind of cigarettes you smoke just to get your nicotine fix. These are the kind of cigarettes you smoke when you plan to kick back and relax for ten minutes with a cup of coffee and some music. For those situations I’ll give the nicotine content a 10 out of 10. Overall these are some of the best cigarettes you can get your hands on for a decent price. So far my favorite unfiltered cigarettes! Even more flavorful than Lucky Strike, and far smoother and easier to smoke than Camels. Overall I give this cigarette a very strong 9 out of 10! Damn good!
